G. Ryken
Visiting Professor of Practical TheologyB.A.,
Wheaton College; M.Div., Westminster Theological Seminary;
D.Phil., University of Oxford. Dr. Ryken, a minister in
the Presbyterian Church of America, is senior minister of
Tenth Presbyterian Church in Philadelphia, PA. He tutored
and lectured at the Centre for Medieval and Renaissance
Studies at Oxford in 1993. His areas of expertise are
Reformation theology, post-Reformation Calvinism and
Puritanism, homiletics, and C. S. Lewis.
Among his many publications are City on a Hill, The
Message of Salvation, Written in Stone, The Heart of the
Cross (co-author), My Father’s World, Thomas Boston as
Preacher of the Fourfold State, and When You Pray. |
