DESCRIPTION
A guided study with Dr. Chad Van Dixhoorn focusing
on the Westminster Assembly. Lectures will be held in the mornings
for the first week only and afternoons/evenings will be open for research in the University's libraries. The entire second week will be devoted to student research supervised by Dr. Van Dixhoorn in preparation for the completion of a major essay by each student.

Dixhoorn is one of the world's leading scholars on the
Westminster Assembly, its participants, and its work to compose the
Westminster Confession and Catechisms. Heis a Research Fellow of Wolfson College and a British Academy Postdoctoral Fellow. He is a member of the Early Modern British History Subject Group in the Faculty of History.

WHO MAY APPLY
The program is open
to all WSC students and is a two-unit course which will apply as a
historical theology elective. It is also available for audit for
students, alumni and pastors who may want to come to Cambridge and get
the real scoop on the Westminster Assembly, without having to "do
homework" - a way to take a break from the pressures of ministry.
DATES
August 11-22, 2008 *(students should plan to arrive in Cambridge
by Saturday, August 9)
LODGING
Sidney Sussex
College will provide rooms for students.
COST
Tuition for a two-unit course paid to the WSC Registrar, plus travel, room and board expenses.
If auditing: half-tuition, travel, room and board. Room and board costs are estimated at about $2000.
