On February 19, 2008, an inauguration ceremony was held to commemorate the installation
of Dr.
David M. VanDrunen as Robert B. Strimple Professor of Systematic
Theology and Christian Ethics.
Dr. VanDrunen's inaugural address was entitled "The Two Kingdoms
and the Ordo Salutis: Life Beyond Judgment and the Question of a
Dual Ethic." President Dr.
W.
Robert Godfrey presided over the ceremony. The Scripture was
read by Rev. Zach Keele. Dr.
Robert Strimple gave the charge to Dr. VanDrunen. Dr.
Bryan Estelle closed the ceremony in prayer. Following the
ceremony all were invited to a reception in the chapel lobby
honoring Dr. and Mrs. VanDrunen.
