Westminster Seminary California announces a new faculty opening in Systematic Theology. This is a full-time, tenure-track position that begins July 1, 2023. Responsibilities focus on teaching courses in Systematic Theology and, as able related disciplines of Apologetics, Philosophical Theology, and Historical Theology. Qualifications include: (1) commitment to the seminary’s doctrinal standards (the Westminster Standards and the Three Forms of Unity) and to the Presbyterian form of church government; (2) Ph.D. or equivalent degree in systematic theology or related discipline; (3) ordained or pursuing ordination as a minister in a Presbyterian or Reformed church; (4) pastoral experience, and (5) evidence of promise as a teacher and scholar. Christ Reformed Church in Nampa, Idaho is seeking applicants for a year-long pastoral internship, beginning in May or June of 2022. The pastoral internship involves a commitment to train under our senior pastor and to participate in all aspects of pastoral ministry and the life of the local congregation. More specifically, the internship will focus on two main components. The primary focus will be on homiletical training, featuring extensive opportunities for practice preaching, including 15-20 times in the summer and many other opportunities throughout the year. The internship will also involve providing extensive discipleship and catechesis for visitors and new members, many of whom are from non-Reformed or unchurched backgrounds. Christ Reformed Church is located just outside of Boise in the growing community of Nampa, Idaho. We are confessionally Reformed, a member of the United Reformed Churches in North America. Artesia First is seeking an Associate Pastor for youth and outreach. Currently, we do not have programs for either in place, so, this man would start slow and lead development of each, gradually building up to the point where he is running both. There are about 12 youth (6-11th grade) in our congregation currently. So, youth group would start small and informal, with a view toward future growth. We are planning on using Christianity Explored as an outreach tool, but are open to exploring different methods as well. We have ample facilities (to include an indoor basketball court) on campus for various community engagement forums. A secondary task would be managing our membership roster including ensuring membership transfers have occurred as needed.

This person would be an associate pastor. He would work approximately 50 hours per week. If time permits, he would also assist the lead pastor in visiting home-bound members, leading Sunday liturgy on occasion, preaching, Bible studies, Sunday School, etc. If possible, helping lead worship would be a plus.
