What Makes WSC Unique?

WSC offers a distinctly Reformed, in-person theological education in order to glorify Christ, promote his gospel, and serve his church.

Our Education

The WSC education promotes careful study of God’s Word in the original languages from a Reformed perspective.

  • Biblical. Our curriculum is centered on the inspired, inerrant Word of God, as summarized in the Reformed Confessions of Faith, and emphasizes study of Scripture in the original languages of Greek and Hebrew.
  • Personal. Our learning community is committed to a face-to-face educational model which facilitates formation both inside and outside of the classroom.
  • Accredited. Our institution is the only fully accredited Reformed seminary on the West Coast of the United States.

Our Faculty

The WSC faculty are pastor-scholars who are unified in their understanding of the Bible.

  • Pastor-Scholars. Our faculty are experienced pastors, active in ministry to their local churches, as well as accomplished scholars who have contributed to critical areas of biblical, systematic, historical, and practical theological scholarship.
  • United. Our professors are theologically unified by the inerrant Word of God, as summarized by the Reformed confessions of faith: The Westminster Standards and Three Forms of Unity.
  • Diverse. Our educators represent different denominations within the Presbyterian and Reformed tradition.

Our Community

The WSC community is dedicated to learning, living, and loving well in an environment of mutual sharpening and softening.
  • Christ-Centered. Our shared commitment to Christ informs our actions and interactions with one another in daily lifeboth inside and outside of the classroom.
  • International. Our student body reflects the global nature of the body of Christ, with approximately 20% of students joining us from countries around the world.
  • Close. Our campus housing has created a uniquely tight-knit community. While students attend classes together, their families grow close to one another in the Westminster Village.
