What Students Say About Our Housing

As students live, learn, and grow together in their knowledge of Reformed theology and love of the Lord, they will experience what we have always believed and practiced at Westminster California—that iron sharpens iron—that students learn best face-to-face in the classroom and students confirm what they believe peer-to-peer, in a community of faith.

JACK AND MARIA

“We are blessed to be in such a supportive and God-fearing community of believers and are happy to be a part of this multi-generational work that has remained committed to its mission since its founding.”

JEFFREY AND EMILY

“It is a blessing to live in a place where community happens so naturally and spontaneously; as well as making it affordable to attend the best Reformed seminary on the continent! We are excited for this year, and thankful for all who have made it possible.”

CASSADY

“It has been an enormous blessing to call the Westminster Village home during my time at seminary. My seminary experience truly wouldn’t have been the same without this community. Not to mention, the walkable ‘commute’ to my classes and on-campus job in the Front Office is pretty tough to beat!”

More Testimonials

“I feel truly known and loved by many of my classmates. The Village has been an absolute game-changer. I am living next to, and doing life with, lifelong ministry partners.”

“Perhaps one of the most significant strengths of WSC … lies in the strong community that is found here. I am extremely grateful for the friendships that I have made in the last few years. The Village especially has been an enormous benefit and provided a uniquely immersive educational experience that allowed us to approach our studies in a rich and supportive community. The long talks around the fire, the parties and BBQs, and the nights spent at friends’ houses all created deep and lasting memories.”

“Living among fellow believers, united in faith and purpose, was a foretaste of God’s kingdom. We knew and trusted our neighbors, sharing life in a way that strengthened us all. Fellowship was constant, even amidst the demands of study, as we gathered to pray, discuss, debate, study, and grow together. For my wife, a new mother, this community was a sanctuary. She found godly women—young mothers like her—who shared her convictions and offered wisdom and support. Their care sustained her, teaching her the joys and challenges of motherhood in a Christ-centered home. Our children thrived in this safe haven, playing freely with friends under the watchful eyes of trusted neighbors. Living among other students sparked countless conversations— on theology, ministry, family, and life—that sharpened my mind and stirred my soul. Proximity to the seminary was a practical blessing, easing financial strains when vehicles were scarce and allowing me to be present for my wife and children. We leaned on neighbors for childcare, knowing our little ones were in loving, faithful hands. Watching our children play together, carefree and joyful, felt like a glimpse of a simpler time, almost like an old film of times in which neighbors trusted each other.”

“I loved the housing and the closeness of the community of the Village, the people you meet and the friends you make, and the constant theological conversations you can find anywhere. I truly enjoyed interacting with all of my classmates and getting to know the professors on a deep level.”

“The logistics of living in the village and attending WSC are all great. The housing is extremely inexpensive and really nice. It’s great to live on campus; it’s managed well, and it fosters community to have many of the students live near each other.”
