The Nicene Creed: Baptized and Looking Forward to the Resurrection (Part 8)

This section of the Creed makes two simple points: 1) to acknowledge one baptism for the remission of sins is to merely mimic biblical language, from Acts 2 and Eph 4:4-5, which is given for the purpose of reassuring us that this baptism washes away our sins as surely as water washes dirt from the body, and 2) that looking forward to the resurrection and the life of the world to come is a great comfort for you as a Christian because the resurrection (judgment) will not be based on a “strict works” judgment but on a judgment of mercy, praise God!
