God’s Firstborn Heir, Worshiped by Angels
The third Old Testament passage quoted in Hebrews 1, drawn from
Deuteronomy 32 or Psalm 97, underscores that Jesus the Son is superior to
angels because God the Father directed all his angels to worship the Son.
This command shows Christ's divinity, since the Bible consistently forbids
worshiping any mere creature, commanding us to worship only God the Creator.
